Client onboarding systems
The onboarding and invoicing system every one of my clients goes through, built around a 50/50 deposit.

The problem
I got tired of re-explaining my own process every time someone new signed on. Each client got a slightly different version of onboarding, and each version produced a different round of questions.
So I wrote it down once, properly, and made it the way every client starts.
What I built
SOP-001: onboarding
An intake form in Tally, then the contract, a kickoff brief, and a shared workspace in Notion. The steps happen in the same order every time, so a new client always knows what's next.
SOP-002: billing
A 50/50 deposit, with invoices numbered LMP-[YEAR]-[###] and paid through Wise. The payment terms are explained before the first invoice, which is when people would otherwise ask.
Write it so a client can read it
Both documents are written in plain language for the client, not for me. If a step needs explaining, the explanation is already in the document.
What changed
Onboarding got roughly 40% faster, and the "wait, when do I pay you" emails stopped. It's now the standard start to every engagement.
Onboarding got roughly 40% faster, and the "wait, when do I pay you" emails just... stopped.

Work with me
Tell me what you are selling and where things feel stuck, and we will talk through honest next steps. Book a call if you would rather talk it through, or send a message and I will get back to you within a couple of hours.
You won't find my email floating around this page, which keeps the spam bots away. This form goes straight to my inbox though.
